ZX-81 ROOM SORROW

OK guys and gals, i know some of you must have been facing a group chat problem these days, specially in the maldivian rooms... Sending pictures and creating groups in seconds and inviting all the users in rooms... All of this is happening because of me LOL... I'm sorry for the trouble I've cause while testing my latest and also one of the most annoying programs that will ever be released...

I'm releasing this program because i know mig33 will fix this bug in their software very soon... so not that much harm done till then... hehe... Wink And for the sake of other victim users, i have limited the max rooms to 4...

When you give a specific room name it creates group chats for the 1st two online users in that room, all your three users will create group chats for the same two users in the room, meaning: there will be three group chats each group chat filled with all the users of the selected room... After doing this the program closes and opens again, and does the same... If you have chosen the random option for the "rooms" then each time the program opens, it will choose a random room from the four specified rooms...


/// SETTING UP ZX-81 ROOM SORROW ///

1 - After extracting the file you have downloaded, run "RANDOM-ID-GEN.exe" this creates 3 random users and 1 password for all the three users in a txt file named "random_users.txt".

2 - Now open "logins.txt" and use the newly created users and password. OK. Now you might think what the hell is "user to save" on the 5th line of "logins.txt" don't worry we'll get to that later, but remember do not delete that line. save your txt file and close.

3 - Now open "rooms.txt" and you'll have room1, room2, room3, room4 and random, just forget about "random" for now and replace the room1, room2, room3 and room4 with the rooms you want.

4 - Now you have completed the basic settings... Open "ZX-81-ROOM-SORROW.exe" if the users names and passwords were in the correct lines, then the three red box(s) in the program will turn green. Now you have started ROOM SORROW!!!... just keep it like that as long as
you want, if you want to quit the program just execute "exit" command.

Well that's the basic settings... Now if you want to do this for only one room then open "rooms.txt" and replace "random" with anything you want, it's easier for you if you just delete "m" so that it would look like "rando". And remember if your doing this for one room you only have to change the 1st room in "rooms.txt".

Now about the 5th line in "logins.txt" which says "user to save", i have added this option for you to see what happens in a room... Wink, so for example if you have a user named "user1" in room "maldives" and you don't want "user1" to face the group chats you can replace "user to save" with "user1" .... Well that's it about setting this up...

/// MAIN PROBLEMS - not really bugs... depends on the connection ///

1 - Some times it does not create perfect 3 group chats... because for some reason with the connection...

2 - Some times your 3 users will not login perfectly... this also depends on the connection... and this makes things a bit slower... but no worries it's automated, meaning: it will try again until 3 users perfectly connects.

So the faster the connection the better it works probably... and there might be other little things that i have not yet faced, if you face any bugs remember to post... Smile

One final thing... I'm not using OS Vista so i don't know whether it's compatible or not with Vista, so i advise you all to use this in XP for now...
