RIM Introduced BlackBerry Smartphone Tour 9630

The Canadian manufacturer has formalized its new BlackBerry smartphone Tour 9630, which lurks as a rumor on the web for some weeks now. U.S. carriers Sprint and Verizon have already announced.



However, the smartphone will be offered in Europe by version Quad GSM, GPRS, EDGE and UMTS / HSDPA. However, we note that it does not carry a chip WiFi. Nonetheless, it is Bluetooth 2.0.

Side look, the form factor is very common at that RIM has already introduced in the past. A phone with a 2.4 inch screen, which stays in the palm of the hand, with physical keyboard and multi-ball for the handle.


It also has a 3.2 megapixel camera (with autofocus and stabilizer), with the possibility to record movies. The device also loads a module A-GPS, allowing to use BlackBezrry Preloaded Maps.

Regrettably, the internal memory is limited to 256MB, although it may be extended to 36 GB using the micro-SD port. According to RIM, the 9630 has an autonomy of 5 hours of talk time.

The smartphone will be launched during the summer across the Atlantic. The price and availability in Europe have not yet been announced.
