Handy Zip application allows you opening, extracting and creating zip archives on your phone. Why do you need zip archives in your phone? Here are the most common usage cases:

1. You have got an e-mail with a zip archive attached. With Handy Zip installed on your phone, you can seamlessly open this attachment directly from Messaging application and view/modify the files inside it.
2. You can send multiple files by email inside a zip archive. Thus you will have one attached files instead of many. And you will also save your time and cut Internet traffic bills, because of reduced size of your files inside the archive.
3. You can download zip archives from the Internet and extract them directly on your phone.
4. You can organize and backup your files on the phone using zip archives. You can also protect your archives with a password.

System integration
After installation Handy Zip adds support of zip archives to phone Messaging and File Manager applications. Just select a zip archive there and go to Options > Open. Handy Zip will start and show you the content of the archive.

Managing zip archives
In the main view Handy Zip shows all archives located on your phone and their sizes. The small memory card icon next to an archive name indicates that the archive is located on the memory card. Select an archive to see its location (path) in the status pane.

Select Options > New archive to create a new zip archive. From this view you can also copy and move archives to different folders, rename and send them by email, Bluetooth and Infrared.

Select Options > Settings to view and modify Handy Zip settings:

• Compression level – compression level for adding files to zip archives.
• Include subfolder – if to include subfolders into zip archives.
• Sort by and Sort order – sorting order for zip archives in the main views
• Managing archive content
• Scroll to a zip archive and select Options > Open to see the content of the archiv
• Here you can extract files and open them for preview. You can add and delete files from the archive.

Password security

To password protect files, it is important to specify the password AFTER opening or creating an archive and BEFORE adding the files.
